Family-Run Earthmoving · Far South Coast & Snowy Monaro

Empty Block, No Idea Where To Start? Build-Ready, Done Right.

A careless operator pushes dirt around, ignores the water, and leaves you a pad that slumps the first wet winter. We read the block, cut it level, and set it up right.

What People Say After The Machines Leave

What We Do

We don't just cut a pad. We set up the ground your home will stand on for the next fifty years.

Work That Holds Up

A house site is the one bit of earthwork you never get to redo. Once the slab is down and the walls are up, whatever we did underneath is locked in forever. So we take our time. We watch where the water wants to go, we cut to the right levels, and we compact it properly. Not a quick scrape and a wave goodbye. Ground set up to carry a house.

The Block You Pictured

You bought this block for a reason. The view, the trees, the quiet. What you want is simple: to stand on a flat, firm, build-ready pad and finally see where the kitchen window will look out. No guessing, no second-guessing the fall of the land. A site that sits right, drains right, and makes the builder's job easy from day one.

Land Ready For A Home

Done well, the cut disappears into the place. The pad sits like it was always meant to be there, the water runs away clean, the access track feels natural off the road. In a year you won't remember it was ever a rough paddock. You'll just remember the day the build started, and it all went to plan because the ground underneath was right.

How We Work

We Work With The Block, Not Against It

A careless operator fights the land, scrapes it flat and leaves the water nowhere to go. We read the fall, the ground and the access first, then build the pad around what the block actually gives us.

STEP 01

Read The Block

We walk it with you. Where the house sits, how the water moves, where the access comes off the road, what the ground is made of. The plan comes before the machine.

STEP 02

Cut It Right

Level pad, proper fall for drainage, ground compacted so it won't slump. We cut and fill the right way so the builder gets a site that's ready to go.

STEP 03

Build-Ready And Settled

You get a firm, level, drained pad with clean access, set up like it belongs there. The day the builder arrives, the hard part is already sorted.

Common Questions

Fair Questions Before You Spend Real Money

My block is just a bare paddock. Where do we even start?

That's most of the blocks we cut. You don't need a plan sorted. We come out, walk it with you, and work out where the house sits best for the view, the sun and the water. By the end you'll know exactly what your block can do.

How do I know the pad won't slump or get wet after it's built?

Because we plan the water first and compact the fill properly. A careless operator scrapes it flat and leaves it. We cut the right levels, set the fall so water runs away, and build the ground up right so it carries the house for good.

Will the earthworks line up with what my builder needs?

Yes. We cut to the levels the build requires and keep the access and drainage sorted so your builder walks onto a site that's ready to go. You deal directly with Brad the whole way, so nothing gets lost between people.

Do you work on my area?

We're based around Wolumla and cover the Far South Coast and Snowy Monaro, roughly a 100km reach, and we'll travel further for the right job. Give us the address and we'll let you know straight up.

What does a site cut cost?

Every block is different, so the honest answer is we look first. Ground conditions, how much we're cutting and filling, access and drainage all matter. We'll give you a clear price for the agreed scope and flag anything that could change it before we start.

About Us

G'day, I'm Brad From Broadford Earthmoving

I've been operating machinery for over 15 years across rural blocks, roads and tough terrain. Broadford Earthmoving is about more than shifting dirt. I take the time to understand your vision and set your property up so it works today and down the track.

With house sites I think past the day the machines leave. Ground conditions, water movement, finished levels, access. I want you standing on a pad that's ready for your build and ready for the home you've been picturing on that block.

You deal with me the whole way, the bloke planning and running the work. Honest advice, realistic expectations, and no surprises. If something falls outside what we agreed, we talk about it before anything happens.
